Progressive Query Refinement

Instead of asking a single, complex question, break it down into a series of smaller, simpler queries, using the AI's previous answer to inform your next question. This builds up context and allows the AI to provide more accurate and detailed responses by narrowing the scope at each step. For example, instead of asking 'Write a blog post about sustainable gardening tips for urban dwellers that's under 500 words and includes a call to action to buy organic seeds,' start with 'Brainstorm sustainable gardening tips for urban dwellers.' Then, 'Expand on the top 3 tips, focusing on ease of implementation.' Finally, 'Draft a 400-word blog post combining these tips, including a call to action for organic seeds.'

In plain terms

It's like searching for a specific book in a library by first asking for the right section, then the right shelf, rather than just yelling out the book's title from the entrance.

Why it matters

This technique helps you overcome AI's limitations with complex, multi-part requests, leading to higher quality, more relevant output and reducing the need for extensive manual editing.
