Context Window

The context window is like the AI's short-term memory, the amount of information it can 'remember' and consider when generating its next response. If your conversation or document is too long, the AI might start to 'forget' earlier parts, leading to less relevant or repetitive answers. For a writer drafting a novel with AI, this means you might need to summarize previous chapters or provide key plot points periodically so the AI doesn't lose the narrative thread. It dictates how much information you can feed the AI at once for a coherent output.
