Shopify now allows AI agents to complete full purchases
Shopify has updated its platform to enable browser-based AI agents to complete entire purchases on merchant sites. This expands their capabilities beyond just searching for products and adding items to carts. New tools like `get_checkout`, `update_checkout`, and `complete_checkout` allow agents to inspect and modify checkout details, then submit the transaction with the buyer's authorization.
