NVIDIA has made Alpamayo 2 Super commercially available, an open reasoning model for autonomous driving. This model, part of the Alpamayo family, excels in a wide range of autonomous vehicle (AV) capabilities, including planning, auto-labeling, scene understanding, and knowledge distillation. It demonstrates state-of-the-art reasoning for driving-centric scenarios, outperforming models like Qwen2.5-VL 72B, Gemini 2.5 Pro, and GPT-4o on the LingoQA benchmark.
This release provides AV developers with a powerful, open-source foundation model that can be adapted for various driving policies and deployment strategies, potentially accelerating the development of robotaxis and autonomous vehicles.
