Moonshot AI Launches Kimi Work, a Local Desktop Agent with Agent Swarm Capabilities
Moonshot AI has introduced Kimi Work, a local desktop AI agent running on your machine for macOS and Windows. Kimi Work reportedly uses Moonshot's Kimi K2.6 model and features an Agent Swarm that can run up to 300 sub-agents in parallel for complex tasks. It includes WebBridge for browser interaction, a cron scheduling engine for automated tasks, and the ability to read local files and run Python scripts securely. Kimi K2.6 is an open-weight Mixture-of-Experts model with a 256K-token context window.
Kimi Work brings advanced AI agent capabilities directly to the user's desktop, enabling complex, multi-step tasks to be automated and managed locally. The agent swarm approach allows for efficient parallel processing of sub-tasks for better performance.
