Moonshot AI Introduces Kimi Work, a Local Desktop Agent
Moonshot AI has released Kimi Work, a downloadable AI agent for macOS and Windows that operates directly on a user's desktop. It reads local files, controls a real browser (WebBridge), and runs scheduled tasks using a built-in cron engine. Kimi Work is reportedly powered by Moonshot's Kimi K2.6 model, featuring a 300-sub-agent swarm for parallel task execution and a 256K-token context window.
Why it matters
Kimi Work advances desktop automation by enabling an AI agent to interact with a user's machine and existing applications, streamlining workflows for knowledge workers.
