Moonshot AI Introduces Kimi Work, a Local Desktop Agent
Moonshot AI has released Kimi Work, a local desktop AI agent for macOS and Windows, reportedly powered by their Kimi K2.6 model. Kimi Work allows users to provide natural language goals, and the agent then interacts with local files, drives a real browser session via WebBridge, and runs scheduled tasks using a cron engine. It can also manage an agent swarm of up to 300 sub-agents for complex task parallelization.
Why it matters
This local desktop agent integrates AI directly into users' existing workflows, enabling complex, multi-step tasks by interacting with personal files and web sessions, which could significantly boost knowledge worker productivity.
