MiniMax Open-Sources M2 Model with Competitive Pricing
MiniMax has open-sourced the complete weights of its M2 model on Hugging Face, making it available for developers to deploy. The company has also set a competitive API price of $0.30 per million input tokens and $1.20 per million output tokens, which is 8% of Claude 4.5 Sonnet's cost. MiniMax offers an online inference service with a TPS (tokens per second) of around 100, aiming for nearly double the inference speed of alternatives.
