Microsoft's MAI-Code-1.1-Flash Enhances GitHub Copilot with Vision and Lower Price
Microsoft has rolled out MAI-Code-1.1-Flash, a new small-tier coding model, to GitHub Copilot. This model builds on its predecessor by adding native vision support for image understanding and improving coding quality, instruction following, and tool use. It also comes with a 73% lower list price, making it a more cost-effective option for coding workflows.
