Fara1.5

Fara1.5 is a family of open-weight computer use agents (available in 4B, 9B, and 27B sizes) that interact with web browsers the way you do: clicking, scrolling, typing, and navigating across sites. Unlike chat models that generate text instructions, Fara sees a screenshot of your screen and outputs direct mouse and keyboard coordinates to complete multi-step tasks. You describe what you need in natural language, and Fara reasons through the work, asking clarifying questions when it hits ambiguity and pausing before irreversible actions. The 27B model now outperforms much larger proprietary systems like OpenAI Operator and Gemini 2.5 Computer Use on browser-task benchmarks. For product teams and operators, this matters because Fara runs on your own infrastructure (deployable through Microsoft Foundry) with full auditability, no vendor lock-in, and latency measured in seconds rather than minutes. Common tasks: filling forms at scale, scraping and aggregating data across competing sites, booking travel or reservations, searching for job postings, and automating repetitive account management.

Why it matters

Open-weight computer use agents let you own the automation layer, audit every action, and ship at product cost instead of API cost.
