Claude Cowork Adds Isolated Built-in Browser
Anthropic has integrated a separate, sandboxed Chromium instance directly into the Claude Cowork desktop app. This built-in browser allows Claude to perform web-based tasks, like pulling invoices or gathering research, without accessing the user's personal browser history, tabs, or saved passwords. Credentials can be imported site-by-site, with sensitive categories like banking excluded by default.
