ChatGPT's Apple Messages Plugin for Texting and Management
OpenAI has launched an Apple Messages plugin for ChatGPT, allowing users to connect their Messages inbox with the chatbot. This enables ChatGPT to sort, analyze, edit, delete, draft, and send messages on behalf of the user. The plugin also works with Codex and ChatGPT Work for professional use. OpenAI states the plugin runs locally on the user's device, requiring specific requests for message access and Full Disk Access to function, and does not create a full index of messages on its servers.
